Using ‘Adventures in Raspberry Pi’ I managed to understand how to use a breadboard and could light an LED using the correct resistor. (See page https://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/projects/raspberrypi/tutorials/robot/components/resistor/ to find out more about resistors and their colour coding)
The other equipment I needed was:
- a breadboard (see http://makerclub.org/component/breadboard )
- jumper wires, male to female (see https://www.modmypi.com/jumper-wire-10-pack-male-female )
The instructions in the book, to write the Python3 program are easy to follow so I had no difficulties.
If you want to make buying components easier, get the Adventures in R Pi kit from Pimoroni at http://shop.pimoroni.com/products/adventure-in-raspberry-pi-building-a-jukebox-kit .
Happy Raspberry Pi-ing!
